At the conclusion of this activity, the learner will be better able to:
Identify the key mechanisms and types of electrical injuries, including flash, flame, lightning, and true electrical injuries.
Implement evidence-based protocols for the acute stabilization and ongoing treatment of patients with electrical injuries.
Select appropriate interventions, including fluid resuscitation and airway management, based on the severity of the injury and the extent of organ involvement.
Collaborate with burn specialists in burn care, critical care, cardiology, and neurology to provide comprehensive treatment to patients with electrical injuries.
